Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

After our mini moon to the PNW where we were go, go, go we wanted to book a honeymoon that was totally relaxing. So, in August we decided super last minute to book a trip to Cabo. Neither of us had ever been to that part of Mexico and were looking forward to doing nothing but relaxing and boy did we do just that.

We decided to book an all inclusive resort in Cabo San Lucas and were really happy with Pueblo Bonito. There were many restaurants, the best cabanas with beach side service AND their sister hotel Rose was next door and we were able to use all of their restaurants and pool as well! So it felt like we really got two hotels for one!

I loved all of the pink! This little spot was so pretty! One evening we actually left the resort and had dinner at Los Tres Gallos and holy crap, it was delicious. You HAVE to get the hibiscus margarita.

It finally cleared up enough on our last full day there that we were able to do a boat tour around the Sea of Cortez. We made sure to get the first boat out and it was so nice to be the only ones on the boat for a private tour. Once the tour was over we were dropped off at Lovers Beach, which again, being the first boat out was amazing because we were some of the first people at the beach. We got to enjoy it a bit by ourselves before the troves of people started showing up. Adjacent to Lovers Beach is Divorce Beach (which is on the Pacific side and is somewhat dangerous because the waves are HUGE).Cabo San Lucas - Megan Welker Photography 024 Cabo San Lucas - Megan Welker Photography 025 Cabo San Lucas - Megan Welker Photography 026 Cabo San Lucas - Megan Welker Photography 027 Cabo San Lucas - Megan Welker Photography 028 Cabo San Lucas - Megan Welker Photography 029 Cabo San Lucas - Megan Welker Photography 030 Cabo San Lucas - Megan Welker Photography 031 Cabo San Lucas - Megan Welker Photography 032 Cabo San Lucas - Megan Welker Photography 033 Cabo San Lucas - Megan Welker Photography 034 Cabo San Lucas - Megan Welker Photography 035 Cabo San Lucas - Megan Welker Photography 036Cabo San Lucas - Megan Welker Photography 038Cabo San Lucas - Megan Welker Photography 039Cabo San Lucas - Megan Welker Photography 041Cabo San Lucas - Megan Welker Photography 042Cabo San Lucas - Megan Welker Photography 043Cabo San Lucas - Megan Welker Photography 044Once we were back at our hotel we rented a jetski and just rode around for hours. It was definitely our favorite part of the entire trip. The ONE time I wish we had a go pro! It was great for wanting to do nothing but relax and enjoy ourselves. There were a few things we wanted to do but weren’t able to and I think next time we venture down to that part of Mexico we’ll be checking out San Jose del Cabo and most definitely making our way to Flora Farms. We were SO bummed how far it was from our hotel and that we would either have to take a $100 taxi ride or rent a car to get there. So it’s on our must do list for next time!
