Our Wedding / Hiring a Coordinator
I’m a day late BUT I wanted to talk today about the importance of hiring a wedding coordinator/planner. Waaaay before we even got engaged I knew I was going to hire a coordinator one way or another. I’ve been to enough weddings to know that having one is 1,081,932,387% worth it and I wanted to make sure that our wedding runs as smoothly as possible. Fast forward to our engagement and the wedding planning process, the Beijos girls and I had been working together for about six months by then and I loved them, loved their vibe and I knew we would be the perfect fit…and boy was I right!…

A hot date with some boug
It’s officially spring which means there is bougainvillea everywhere. It may or may not be the best thing about this time of year, in my opinion. I told Adam I wanted to find some to shoot with and dang, he couldn’t have found a better patch! But let’s just talk about my jumper, yes, it’s a jumper! Tricked you, right? Usually jumpers/rompers don’t work for me (big thighs, you know) but this breezy, flowy one is just perfect and I love how comfortable and dress-like it is. It can be easily paired with some cute gold sandals for daytime wear and dressed up with a pair of heels like these…

Friday Favorites
Whew! What a week it’s been! I had my bridal shower on Monday and it was beyond anything I could have dreamed up. Can’t wait to share more photos from the day. I am so lucky to have such talented people working on making this wedding so incredible. Adam got home from Europe on Tuesday from a buying trip in London and Paris. I’m happy to have him back home and happy to have eaten all of the macarons he brought back with him. We are headed to Santa Barbara tomorrow for our dear friends wedding and we are beyond excited to be guests!! What are you doing this weekend?…

Our Wedding / Finding THE Venue
I realized I never shared our venue with you! I mean, I mentioned it in passing but this baby needs a post all it’s own. Figueroa Farmhouse in Santa Ynez has been my dream venue for, well, for as long as I can remember. It’s a little bit rustic without being a barn, it’s basically the field of my dreams and there are beautiful large oak trees on the property. The one con about it, the price…or so I thought. The one thing I’ve learned through the process of wedding planning is that it doesn’t hurts to ask. The property is a rental, not a venue, and they rent it…
