A little San Francisco Getaway
Last fall we had a weekend getaway to one of our favorite places. We arrived in the evening, stopped at our airbnb in the adorable Pacific Heights neighborhood and walked straight to Delfina for a little midnight snack because when you’re on vacation carbs don’t count. We woke up extra early Saturday morning, grabbed an uber and headed straight to our favorite breakfast spot in all of the land, Plow (get there before they open to get a good spot in line. They fill up FAST!) Seriously, if you haven’t been you are really missing out. Get the buttermilk biscuit and honey butter (my mouth is literally watering just typing…

Love in the desert
Keeping up with our desert theme for the week I’m sharing a little session our dear friend Ala did for us while we were in Joshua Tree. After Amber and Louie had to leave to head back home (in case you missed their sweet session on my photography blog, you can view that here) Ala came out and I got to take some spur of the moment maternity photos for her (that you can see here). In return she woke up at the butt crack of dawn with us and we all ventured out to the National Park for a sunrise session while it was still somewhat cool out (a…

brooklyn and new york city
I am SO excited to finally share our trip with you all. I don’t know what took me so long, really but it’s fun reliving parts of it now! I’ll do my best to let you know where we stayed, what we did and where we visited but if you have any questions on anything particular in this post (like our amazing apartment, maybe?) feel free to email me! During our trip, I shot digital and Adam shot film so there’s a mix of both jumbled in here. We are so thankful for friends that snap our photos before we leave for the airport. You know, just in case it…

Surprise Date Day / Glamping
Honestly, Adam rocks. He is the master at planning surprise date days, and all other date days for that matter, but this one takes the cake. One day he planned a date day(s) and told me to pack something casual, active and warm. Now, I don’t care what genre you tell me, I just want to wear a dress. Lucky for me, when he came to pick me up he told me to put on pants. So, before we left he asked if I could pick up a few things at the store; garlic, a tomato, onion and sirloin steak….now, one would think this was a dead camping giveaway, but…

Tulum Travel Guide
WHERE TO STAY We really loved our little hut at Papaya Playa Project Although..the beaches are better (calmer, less seaweed) south so if you plan on being in the ocean a lot I would recommend.. Hip Hotel Be Tulum Of course Coqui Coqui Tulum is beautiful, but after seeing the Coba Coqui we were a little underwhelmed by the Tulum one. Still, it’s gorgeous and if you can stay there, get it! WHERE TO EAT Encanto Cantina (in town) – THE best. It’s brand new to Tulum and it was one of the best meals we had on our trip. Hartwood – Trendy, hip, you have to get there an…
